Kickstarting London's Green Enterprise District

World Climate Summit - (www.worldclimatesummit.com) - The London Mayor has announced plans for a new landmark building in east London kickstarting the Green Enterprise District, a project that will transform one of the most deprived areas of our capital and help stimulate a low carbon marketplace across London. Siemens plc are investing £30 million in an iconic building that will provide a showcase for sustainable technologies. It’s hoped that the Siemens Pavilion will attract over 100,000 visitors a year, including school groups across London who can take advantage of the pavilion’s educational facilities. The centre, with its exhibitions, shops and cafes, will provide a space for people to find out more about the innovations that will help us achieve the low-carbon society we need to secure our future, environmentally and economically. Site surveys and investigations are underway and we expect a planning application to be lodged in the summer.
